For most visitors to the dojo these amenities will remain invisible. But for those rope tops and bottoms, photographers, graphic artists and observers who are over 50 or who suffer from health issues that are even more dangerous when exposed to Covid, we hope they will provide some much-needed peace of mind. For us Kinbaku is all about pleasure, beauty and safety, and we always do everything in our power to preserve these pillars of our beautiful art form.

A Letter From Ukraine
In the world of Kinbaku Art, satisfactions are often few and far between, other than the enjoyment in a gifted student who learns well and where Kinbaku Art helps them to lead a better, healthier and happy life.

                        The Beauty of Kinbaku
Today, I received this lovely letter from Kiev, Ukraine. It’s the kind of letter that encourages me to continue working, despite the many “challenges” in the often arduous world of Kinbuku Art. Naturally, I will be giving permission for all that this Kinbaku lover in war torn Ukraine requests.

On the other hand, every once in a while, one receives a communication that makes one feel as if the work one is doing has real meaning for people in other parts of the world who don’t have the benefits that we have here in the United States.

“My name is Alex.Kin and I am the creator of shibari.bali project on the island in 2016, and k-shibari.com in 2023 (Kiev). I am writing to you to thank you for the work you have done for the world shibari community and especially the glossary posted on the space has been valuable to me. Now writing to you from Kiev, my hometown, where I arrived before the war, I want to make friends and ask your permission to post your glossary from your book “The Beauty of Kinbuku” on my website k-shibari.com in Ukrainian and English with a link to your site. It so happened that the letter K denotes you as a master and also became the main letter in my project. I hope to visit your classes in the future, if there is any information you can share for shibari development here - I would also appreciate it. Best wishes, looking forward to your reply.”

The letter-
Alex.Kin’s site,
www.k-shibari.com
is serious about the Art we all love, quite attractive and worth a look.

That said, it should also be noted it is geared exclusively for the male top and the female bottom. This might rankle the numerous female rope tops and male bottoms now working and playing in the US that Spring Tiger Ryu and especially Master “K” have always supported and taught with such pleasure.

The Beauty of Kinbaku is available on Amazon and at selected bookstores worldwide.
Long live Ukraine!
