Master "K" Does Rope for "French Kiss"
This past weekend I had the honor and pleasure of working with and doing Kinbaku for Iliona Blanc, the stunningly beautiful, sexy and talented French singer/songwriter/actress/model whose first album in English, "French Kiss," will soon hit the airwaves!
What was most interesting was that all of these poses were done on a large, lazy-susan type turntable which rotated slowly before the camera to show off the performer in various lovely poses bathed in sensuous light. I smiled when I saw this and mentioned to both the star and the director that this was not the first time this sort of apparatus had been used for sexy bondage. To the best of my knowledge this idea was first performed in the early 60’s at the world famous Crazy Horse nightclub in Paris and then transferred intact to be a pivotal scene in the well-known French film "Trans-Europ-Express" (1966) directed by Alain Robbe-Grillet, one of the great names in French literature and cinema and starring the legendary Jean-Louis Trintignant.
This multi-talented dynamo moved to Hollywood after the success of her previous album, "Chipiemania", which was released by powerhouse music distributor Polydor/ Universal in France (available on Amazon.) She has already had numerous gigs at high profile venues in the US, including the House of Blues and The Viper Room in LA and is now busily preparing several new music videos, including one for the erotically themed “Goldfingers," for which intricate rope bondage was required. It was my distinct pleasure to get the call.
The studio for the shoot was in North Hollywood where the production team was going to film for only five days so the schedule for the kinbaku portion was fairly tight. However, the artist and her talented director, Ian Spohr, asked for a variety of looks which included an intricate hand and arm tie (Mae-te-nawa), several full body ties (Ganji garame) and a special decorative tie for her feet. In the course of four hours five poses were accomplished thanks to Ms. Blanc's professionalism and grace and the skill of the crew.
